Can you believe that it is almost August?  Where did July go? I hope you all are having a great summer! Not to be the bearer of bad news  but school at Link Learning resumes on August 29! With the said, I thought I would post some  tips on how to maximize your online learning experience! How to Succeed at Online School 1. Organize, organize, organize. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have a plan when learning online on your own. You don’t have a school bell or teachers telling you to go to class, so it can be easy to forget about time.  When I was taking online classes for my college degrees, I would make a daily plan about what material I had to cover that day. I would incorporate specific break times. Because I was also working a full time job, I had my day planned out to the minute. Every summer there is at least one song that sticks in my mind as my absolute favorite! Eventually I will hear that song on a cold, winter day and think back to summertime. Music has also been linked to 👉 dopamine 👈  release, involved in regulating mood and craving behavior, which seems to predict music’s ability to bring us pleasure.  Coupled with the effects on 👉 endorphins 👈, music seems to make us feel good and connect with others. It's National Lollipop Day

Happy National Lollipop Day! (Click 👆to Learn More)  National Lollipop Day celebrates the invention of the lollipop, how it brightens every childhood and makes everyone happy! In the Midwest of America, they are known as suckers!  Lollipops usually consist of hardened sugar and corn syrup with added flavoring.  They are mounted on a stick and intended for licking or sucking.  Lollipops come in dozens of flavors, colors, and shapes.  Sometimes they contain fillings, such as a soft candy or bubble gum.   Night Sky Map for July 2022: The Summer Triangle (Click 👆to Learn More) Are you a Star Gazer ?                                  (Click 👆to Learn More) I love looking at the night sky. Did you know that there are    three “stars of summer,” which make up the Summer Triangle:  Vega, Altair, and Deneb?  Once you’ve spotted the Summer Triangle, you can use it to find other sights. The largest and most prominent asterism (unofficial star pattern) associated with the Triangle is the  Northern Cross ,  comprised of the brightest stars in Cygnus.  Smaller and less prominent, but quite striking, is the exquisite little  Parallelogram   which hangs just below blazing Vega in Lyra.  Sagitta the Arrow  is a dim but delightful constellation that sits at the upper left of Altair. It’s one of the smallest constellations, and it really does look like a little arrow!  Just below Sagitta and similar in size is tiny  Delphinus the Dolphin .
