Blizzard Warning-What Does it Mean?

Image
Hello! We are currently under a Blizzard Warning starting today! Think of a blizzard like being in a snow globe with someone shaking it. The magnitude of this blizzard could very likely make the history books. (( ((( I want you all to be safe))) )) ! Stay Indoors if Possible and Bring your dogs and cats inside, as well. The blizzard warnings go into effect later this afternoon. Before it starts, move other animals (such as horses, cows, chickens, goats) to sheltered areas with a supply of non-frozen water. What is a Blizzard? A  blizzard  is a severe snowstorm.  It brings low temperatures, strong winds, and a lot of blowing snow.  Blizzards start when a  high pressure system  touches as  low pressure system . Happy Winter Solstice

Image
Greetings! Wednesday, December 21,  is the shortest day of the year, which is known as  The Winter Solstice .  Every year, December  21  marks the 355th day of the year and 356th in leap years as per the Gregorian calendar.  This also reminds us of the 10 days remaining until the end of the year.  This is the point when the sun’s path in the sky is farthest south. The  Winter Solstice  is a solar ho liday that occurs on December 21 or 22 in the Northern Hemisphere.  During this time, the earth’s axis is tilted farthest away from the sun, creating the longest night of the year.  The Winter Solstice is celebrated across many pagan traditions, honoring the sun and the halfway point of winter. Today, many Pagans still celebrate Yule on the day of the Winter Solstice.  Pagans celebrate th e rebirth of the sun through gift exchanges, merriment, and deep spiritual reflection.  For Pagans, this is a time of new beginnings, rebirth, transformation, getting rid of unwanted habits, and creativity

The year is wrapping itself up quickly, and like many of you, I’m already beginning to think ahead to what the next year might feel like. Do you make New Year's Resolutions? Do have any ready for this year? Each year I make  New Year's Resolutions. Am I always successful at keeping them? Heck No I give myself  grace  and do the best I can. Making the resolutions makes me aware of the changes in my life that I want and may need to make. Some people hate New Year’s resolutions.  They either think they won’t last or that they should be improving all year round. However, if you haven’t made any changes that you’ve wanted to make yet, now’s the time to do it! These ideas will be ones that you’ll actually want to keep.  Don’t forget to write down your goals for the year and to make a plan on how to achieve them. I'd love to hear your resolutions! Please take a moment to share. Here are a few New Year's Resolution ideas to help get you inspired.  1. Reduce Stress: ✅Drink tea
